Great Holiday Crafts for Kids

By Jen S Carter Im sure your kids are as excited as mine are about the upcoming holidays. Each year I take the time to do a special holiday craft with my children. Here are two that we enjoyed in the past. Holiday Lake Cake Youll need: a tray or heavy cardboard, light cardboard, a flat cake, foil, lots of white frosting, a pencil and scissors, 3 large marshmallows, small, round colorful candies, a small candy cane, 3 conical (sugar) ice cream cones, solid color candy sticks, Life Savers, and gumdrops (especially yellow and green), small plastic figures of people (optional). Find a large tray or cover a heavy piece of cardboard with foil. Make a large, flat cake to place on it. Have your child draw and cut out a wavy circle from cardboard about 1/3 the size of the cake. Cover it with foil, shiny side up and place it in the middle of the cake. This is the holiday lake. Help your child frost all around the lake and down the sides of the cake with store-bought or homemade white frosting. Make it billowy so it looks like snow. Put a few spots of frosting on the lake. Use 3 large marshmallows to make a snowman. They can be stuck together with frosting. Use small candies for eyes, mouth, and buttons. Give him a candy cane to hold. Put him near one end of the cake. Frost 3 sugar ice cream cones with green-tinted frosting. Put them upside down at the other end of the cake for trees. Put straight, candy sticks (solid color ones) into life savers (for a base) and scatter them around the cake for lights. Put yellow gumdrops on top for the lights. Use green gumdrops for bushes. Add plastic figures of people in the snow and on the lake. Enjoy your holiday craft! North Pole Christmas Tree Ornament Youll need (for each ornament): a tongue depressor, red and white craft paint, painters tape (1 wide), small foam paint brushes, heavy white cardboard or a white index card, a black felt pen, red and green construction paper, glue, a small amount of red, white, green, or black yarn, scissors, and a pencil. Paint the tongue depressor white. Let it dry. Put strips of the tape across the tongue depressor leaving strips of white showing. Paint the stripes red. Let them dry. Remove the tape. Glue the ends of a piece of yarn (3) to the top back of the tongue depressor to hang the ornament by. Draw a rectangle (1 by 3) on the cardboard with one pointed end. Cut it out. Neatly write North Pole on it. Trace the words with the black felt pen. Glue the sign to the tongue depressor about 1/3 of the way from the top. Draw 3 red circles for berries on the red construction paper and 2 green leaves on the green construction paper and cut them out. Glue under the North Pole sign to look like holly. Your North Pole Christmas Tree Ornament is complete! Take time this year to make a special Christmas or holiday craft with your child! 6 Natural Products to Help With RSI

By Simon Brown The Carpal tunnel is the passageway through the wrist that protects the nerves and tendons that extend into the hand. The meridian nerve that passes through it is close to nine tendons and if any of these become injured or if the tissues of the tunnel become swollen and inflamed, this nerve will get compressed. This causes numbness, tingling and often and incredible pain that shoots up and down the arm and is always worse at night. This is the single most common occupational illness now reported and is always the result of repetitive movements causing repetitive strain injuries (RSI), such as typing on a computer keyboard. Natural Methods for coping with RSI Some sufferers have been shown to be deficient in vitamin B6 and in trials, a number of patients taking 100mg twice a day for 12 weeks, were able to reduce their intake of painkillers and avoid surgery. RSI is caused by inflammation. Taking Natural anti-inflammatories will help bring the inflammation down. Here are a few Natural anti-inflammatories you can use: Did you know... In the UK, the NHS bill for treating gastric bleeding caused by anti-inflammatory drugs is currently running at 367 million a year. This is a good reason to investigate what the natural world has to offer. Boswellia Also known as Indian frankincense, this can inhibit enzymes that would otherwise trigger the inflammation causing arthritic conditions and RSI. Take 400mg 3 times a day. There are no reported contraindications. Bromelain Known as the tissue healer, this increasingly popular anti-inflammatory agent is derived from the stems of fresh pineapples. If you are scheduled for surgery, do not leave home without this remedy. It has great post-operative and post-traumatic anti-swelling properties. Take 500mg 3 times a day. Do not combine with zinc as this can inhibit the activity of Bromelain and avoid potatoes and soy products which can do the same thing. Avoid altogether if you know you are allergic to bee venom. Ginger This herb has lots of different actions in the body, and one of it's properties is it's potent anti-inflammatory properties. Take 250mg 3 times a day. There are no reported contraindications. Glucosamine This is produced naturally in the body. There is it used to make cartilage. This is great because it doesn't simply treat the symptoms, but it can actually slow the progress of joint diseases caused by wear and tear. It is especially good for treating osteoarthritis. Glucosamine supplements are made from chitin, a substance found in the shells of shrimps, lobsters and crabs. You will often find combination formulations that include chondroitin, another naturally occurring substance which can protect the joint from wear and tear. Take 500mg 3 times a day. Methylsulphonylmethane (MSM) This is a form of organic sulphur which is present in all living organisms and plays a key role in tissue healing. It is often prescribed by surgeons. You can get MSM from lots of foods including fresh cow's milk and fresh vegetables as well as meats and seafoods. It is easily destroyed by cooking and food processing techniques, making it impossible to get a therapeutic dose from your diet. Instead, it is advisable to take a supplement of 1g a day with food to promote internal healing and alleviate inflammation. Arthritis sufferers who take this supplement report the welcome side effect of thicker, glossier hair and stronger nails. Turmeric A member of the ginger family, turmeric has many medicinal actions including anti-inflammatory properties that can help alleviate the pain of RSI and arthritis. Take 400-600mg a day. In some arthritic patients, turmeric in the diet can exacerbate arthritic-type conditions. Unfortunately, there are no predictors for who may be adversely affected in this way. You will have to monitor your reactions and stop using this remedy if your symptoms worsen. At http://www.naturalremedies4u.com, we recommend three online health stores where supplements made from the products above can be obtained. What Is A Reverse Painting?

By Mayanne Mackay Welcome to the world of Reverse Painting on Glass.
Reverse painting on glass has been considered apopular 'art of the people' for many centuries. The use of glass as a support for this intricate painting technique has not hindered its continuing popularity. A reverse painting is created by painting a subjectonto one side of a sheet of glass (or plexiglass) after which it is viewed from the other side of the glass, or throughthe glass. Contrary to painting on a canvas or similar support this technique requires an artist to paint in reverse, or 'back to front.' When an artwork is created on a support such as canvas or wood panel, it is painted from the same angle and direction that it will ultimately be viewed from on completion. However, in the case of a reverse painting the painting side and the viewing side of the artwork are opposed to one another. Similarly, an artwork that is created on a canvas usually begins with a rough outline and gradually builds towards its completion and finishing touches. In a reverse painting this procedure begins where it would normally end and finishing touches such as finer details and the artist's signature are usually applied first and the background applications of colour are added later, hence the use of the term 'reverse painting'. The effect that glass can give to a reverse painting can make it a very beautiful object. Some artists use thick glass in order to give more depth to their work. For those who see a reverse painting on glass for the very first time it can take a little while to realise that the subject has been painted on the surface of the glass itself. By the Light of the Silvery Moon

By Vlady Peters In their continuous quest for something new and different for their wedding, grooms and brides sometimes make the most awkward choices. Theres the dawn thing, for example, where guests are expected to turn up at any time between four oclock in the morning on, just for the privilege of hearing two egotistical people recite lengthy poems to each other, on some desolate beach in the middle of nowhere. If a social columnist were to be asked to describe the event, it would probably be, the guests were seen rubbing their eyes in an effort to stay awake, and straining their ears to hear the words lost in the sound of crashing waves and screaming seagulls. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the celebrant was seen giving chase to the marriage certificate which a gust of wind had picked up and was threatening to dump in the ocean. But as inconvenient as a dawn ceremony on the beach is, how about those couples who decide to celebrate the event by the light of the moon? Sounds awfully romantic, especially when the moon is full, and the air balmy and the venue itself a fragrant, floriforous parkland. If it were only a matter of everyone turning up looking their best, a moon-lit wedding would have to be the most romantic thing under the sun. But since the ceremony has to be read, and the certificate has to be signed, torches and candles are poor substitute to the less romantic, but much more powerful, electric light. Once upon a time there used to be a law prohibiting a wedding ceremony from taking place any time except daytime. While it did tend to put a bit of a damper on creative couples who wanted something different, it was meant to protect the innocent from the rapacious. Apparently there were quite a few guilty people in the form of paupers whose one ambition was to marry a rich heiress whose identity would be lost in the shadows of a dark and gloomy room. Vlady Peters is an Australian Civil Marriage Celebrant authorised to perform marriages in Australia. She also perform general ceremonies such as Baby Naming, Renewal of Vows and Commitment Ceremonies. Beautiful Blooms - A Bride's Guide to Floral Planning

By Sharon Vaz One of the major aspects of planning for your wedding stems from your floral considerations. For a bride, there are many various things to think about when plotting your bridal blooms. Most brides first think of their wedding bouquet. This is a treasured design that can either be made with fresh flowers or false ones. Bridal bouquets can range from simple and elegant to extravagant and amazing. As a bride, you may want to choose a theme for your nuptials. Many have more than one type of flower - others pick between romantic roses, calla lilies, gerbera daisies, forget-me-nots, and lily of the valleys. A bride's bouquet can either be made from a single type of flower of from a variation of many flowers. In ancient times, brides carried herbs and spices to ward off evil spirits and give them a start in their married life based on good fortune and happiness. Romans and other cultures used flowers during the wedding ceremony for fertility symbolism. In modern times, people send flowers as a way of saying "I love you," "Thank you," or some other form of happy wishes. Aside from the bridal bouquet, a groom will need a boutonnire - which is a small flower worn on his tuxedo. This custom originated from medieval days when men wore the colors of their women as a sign of love and admiration. Some brides choose their bridal blooms, not based on color or personal tastes, but on the meaning behind the flowers. Regardless of how you choose your flowers, you'll want to plan for them based around the season your blooms are available. Does it coincide with your coming nuptials, or will you be paying twice as much just to get out of season flowers? Here are some of the most popular floral choices, along with their meaning and seasonal availability: * Red roses mean love and are available year-round. * White roses represent unity and are also available all year. * Calla Lilies equate beauty and are easily found March-September. * Lily of the Valley means happiness and is also found March-September. * Orchids stand for love and beauty and are yearly blooms. Before you choose a flower, find a nearby floral vendor and visit their shop to see what kinds of blooms they've arranged. Good flower vendors should have a book for you to peruse to see previous arrangements they've created. When you finally settle on a type of flower for your bouquet, you'll also need to choose flowers for the other members of your bridal list - including the bridesmaids and groomsmen, ushers, ring bearer, male and female family members in attendance, and petals for the flower girl to distribute. You'll also have to choose floral arrangements for the dcor of the location for your ceremony and reception, including the aisles, altars, tables, and traditions such as the tossing of the bouquet (you'll want a mini-bouquet so that you can keep your real one as a keepsake). As you'll find when searching for flowers to decorate your special day, some options will be affordable while others may be out of your budget. Be sure to ask your florist about alternate flowers that are equally as beautiful, but less expensive if you have your heart set on something outside of your financial realm. Sharon Vaz helps brides calm the Bridezilla in them by providing tips, resources and fabulous products. RV Financing Made Easy

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Mary_Wise]Mary Wise There are many different sources of finance that can provide the necessary funds for purchasing an RV. However, not all the financial options are equally cheap and though not all of them are available for everyone, you should at least check before choosing your source of finance as you might otherwise end up overpaying for your RV financing. Dealerships You can always get finance at the same place where you want to purchase your RV. Dealerships, in order to sell as many units as possible, provide financing for your purchase but they are not professional lenders. Their job is to sell vehicles and since they are not in the financial business they lack the necessary expertise needed under certain situations. If your credit is less than perfect you probably wont be able to get finance through them. Moreover, the interest rate charged for financing through dealerships is significantly higher than other finance options. So, you should only consider applying for finance at a dealership if you have good or perfect credit and you dont mind paying a bit more for the comfort of doing the whole business at the same place fast and without hassles. Traditional Lending Institutions If you have good or perfect credit, resorting to banks and other traditional financial companies will save you thousands of dollars on your RV purchase. If you want to use your RV as security for the loan it can always be arranged with the lender and youll be able to get a lower interest rate and better terms that way. Though not specialized in this kind of loans banks and financial institutions can provide a wide variety of financial product where you can use the money for any purpose. If you are a homeowner you can request a home equity loan in order to buy an RV and youll get an incredibly low rate with an excellent repayment schedule. Otherwise there are always other options like secured loans guaranteed with the vehicle or even unsecured loans. The only drawback when resorting to traditional finance is that you must have at least a good credit tag. Non Traditional Lending Companies and Online Lenders There are also other financial companies and online lenders that deal specifically with RV loans and also with other kind of loans that you can use to purchase an RV. These lenders have more flexibility when it comes to credit requirements and will be able to approve your loan even if you have bad credit. Since you can always secure the loan with the RV, the lender can be sure that he will recover his money one way or another. Thus, it makes no sense declining a [http://www.badcreditloanservices.com/bad-credit-personal-loans.html]bad credit applicant just due to his credit history if his income will allow him to afford the monthly payments. These lenders take advantage of this situation and offer RV loans with slightly higher interest rates for people with all kind of credit. Mary Wise, a professional consultant with twenty years in the financial field, helps people in the process of securing personal loans, mortgage, refinance or consolidation loans and preventing consumers from falling into the hands of fraudulent lenders.
In her website Badcreditloanservices.com you will find more useful tips and interesting articles on this and many other financial topics. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Mary_Wise http://EzineArticles.com/?RV-Financing-Made-Easy&id=291832 want to buy phentermine

There are some things such as speed dating and online dating that could have been only imagined by our ancestors. Fortunately for us newer generations, the internet has been a great way to do so. The internet has given very busy people who get stuck in the office still find a date. The busy employee can sneak in once in awhile to go to dating websites while working. The employee can then click some one elses profile to leave a message. The problem is, how can that person you left a notice probably get some interest in you? How can that person see if you both have some little similarities before deciding to go out on a date? This article will help give you an idea what to put into your profile for the other party to compare with her interests. The first thing that you should right in your profile is what you do. This is a basic, because even if we talk to someone, this is what people usually ask. Try to right what your previous jobs and aspirations are. Remember that you are writing a profile, not a resume. If you have kids, it is important for the other party to know. This will help the other party know how to adjust about the kids. When describing your kids try to tell their ages and if they still live with you. Kids are usually a great way to build some commonness for both dating single parents online. If you have been a person who has been transferring a lot try to write it down. There are lots of people who love to travel who will catch your drift. It will also attract attention of people who currently live at places you used to live. If you lived in a foreign country, the better it is. People will be interested about your culture to the point that youll feel being interrogated. If you have just currently transferred mention it. You can score some brownie points here. There will be kind people who will be willing to tour you around. If you are a really sneaky person, you can lie that you transferred recently. If you are a foreigner, try to mention your foreign genealogy and language. People will try to make something out of it. The Irish person may force you to believe him or her that he or she really has Iranian bloodlines too. Talk about the things you love to do to and your social life a bit. You can try to be witty and creative here. I.e. if youre a very masculine guy I love purchasing pink purses. In your profile you should also learn to write what you are looking for properly. This will help you screen out of people who are interested at you but have got no chance by your standards. Be clear about what you want with your partner. If you think that smoking bothers you, say that youre not looking for a smoking guy. Be clear however, because some people might think smoking as a very hot or adorable person. When you write that, the adorable ones may not write to you. The most important thing is that you should mention if you are looking for a steady relationship, just a friend or a fling. Scottish Doctor, John Beard had a Cure for Cancer 100 Years Ago!

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Alister_Bredee] Alister Bredee Scottish embryologist, John Beard proposed as long ago as 1906 that pancreatic enzymes were the bodys main bulwark against cancer. Having published Enzyme Therapy of Cancer in 1911,his work attracted a degree of medical attention until his death in 1923. These ideas then died away only to be occasionally awakened from their slumbers by complementary therapists looking for alternative and less intrusive treatments than those offered by the Medical mainstream. In the 1960s Beards work resurfaced in Texas, when a dentist named William Kelley started treating cancer sufferers with proteolytic enzymes. Kelleys work was highly controversial as it flew directly in the face [http://www.anticancerplacentatherapy.com] of orthodox cancer medical care procedures that relied heavily on radiation treatment and chemotherapy. Thus he was castigated by the media and hassled by the authorities. New York physician and ex-Cornell Medical School graduate Dr. Nicholas Gonzalez met the Texas dentist in 1981. Instead of confronting a demon as portrayed by the press, he met a self-effacing man who like Royal Rife before him only wanted his work to be evaluated by the Academic World of Medicine. Gonzalez thought this to be a reasonable request and set out to do something about it. Although a mere medical student at the time he elicited the help of the then Sloan Kettering President, Robert Good. Good supported Gonzalez in his quest and he was allowed to conduct a thorough case review of Kelleys work as part of his own medical studies. Nicholas Gonzalez reviewed 10,000 patient records; He interviewed and evaluated 500 of Kelleys patients who had all been diagnosed with advanced cancers. He summarized his findings in a monograph completed in 1986. His overall conclusion was that Kelleys treatment procedure resulted in an above average survival rate, with many of the sufferers enjoying an apparent regression of their disease. In a separate chapter he took 22 pancreatic cancer patients; this form of cancer has a very low survival rate. Statistically speaking there is a 0% likelihood of surviving 5 years. Twelve of these patients visited only once and then were persuaded to quit treatment due to the negative reactions of friends, family and physicians who branded Kelley as a charlatan. These he took as his control group. They demonstrated an average survival rate of 67 days. Another 7 members of the control only partially followed the Kelley treatment. They displayed a survival ratio of approximately 7 months. However, and much more interestingly those who followed the treatment to the letter lived for an average of a stunning 9 years! This example serves as good demonstration of the folly of following the well-intentioned yet prejudiced advice of other people! Nicholas Gonzalez is continuing work using these protocols dating back at least 100 years and hopes to be able to raise the interest and or money to have a full-scale scientific review conducted of the effectiveness of the enzyme treatment of cancer. The price of enzyme therapy comes out at between $5,000 and $6,000 per year, which in itself is a fraction of the cost of conventional medical care.

Understanding Commitment in Relationships

By Uta Roggendorf Relationships are sacred encounters that allow us to stretch our spiritual experiences on earth. There are few times when our egos are so prevalent these days, when society puts pressure on all of us to conform to what we believe defines a relationship. There's a whole range of `signs' that have emerged over time to show that two people are committed to each other. These include the big sign of marriage and smaller ones, such as introducing one another to parents and family, spending holidays together, moving in together, buying a property together, and so on. NONE of these things define a relationship or the level of commitment. They are what we've been brought up to believe show commitment to another person. Nothing could be further from the truth because a fully committed relationship is built on one thing only and that is love. A truly spiritual relationship is built on unconditional love, which is an even deeper union of not only the body and mind but also the soul. Unconditional love is the only true commitment. The willingness to share a part of your life with another person, another soul, and to let them be who they choose to be is commitment. It's agreeing to mutual learning and understanding. There are many animals who stay together for years. They don't own a property, they don't turn up in church and declare vows. They are together because they choose to experience together, because of the one universal love that combines everything on this planet. If you feel that you are not getting the commitment from your partner that you are seeking, then ask yourself what this feeling of lack really is. Is it that you want to declare that you belong together to the rest of the world? Is it that you feel only this form of commitment (whatever this is, marriage, etc.) is the next step to express your love for the other person, is it a feeling of `it's time society expects me to be married? (Replace the word `society' with parents, friends, etc.) Or is it because you feel you are not being loved in the same way that you love the other person? Is it because your sixth sense is telling you that something is out of balance between you two? Becoming bonded with another soul is really an experience that can be found in other ways than the traditional marriage, or whatever commitment you're seeking. You don't need a ring or party to mark this. People around will know that you belong together just be feeling the energy between you. And you don't need to proof your love to anyone outside of your relationship - ever. However, if you feel that you're not being loved in the way you expect and deserve from the other person, then you need make a decision for yourself whether you want to continue to stay in this relationship or not. You deserve to be loved unconditionally. And this love is a deep unconditional love that goes beyond who carries out the rubbish and does the shopping, and pays the bills, etc. This love is a soul love that is built on respect for each other, for understanding, trust, and friendship. There are always times when we go through more intense phases of learning in our relationships. When the road feels rocky and we have to go deep within to find our truth, express it, and live it in every moment of our relationship. And when we have to learn to listen to the other person's truth and accept them the way they feel and are. When the love you receive always feels rocky, when you're being put down, physically and mentally abused, when you feel `less than' in your relationship and when your inner guidance tells you that this person is not good for you, then you need to get out. Don't spend your life hanging on to someone who doesn't reciprocate your love for them at any time. You deserve to be loved and respected and love and respect don't come from commitment through external signs, but they come from your hearts. If you really want to find out if you already have the commitment to each other that you are looking, answer the following questions for yourself. Is my relationship committed? I can feel the love my partner has for me.
My partner never puts me down or abuses me verbally or physically.
I feel a deep connection between us that goes beyond physical attraction.
I feel completely committed to my partner.
We can share our truth in good and challenging times.
I feel happy in my relationship.
My partner allows me to be who I am. He/she doesn't try to change me into someone I'm not.
My partner shows love and respect for me. For example, he/she looks after me when I'm not well; he/she keeps his/her promises; he/she show me that he/she loves me through words and gestures. These questions will help you to understand if your relationship is based on love and commitment. If you answer these honestly you will get a feeling for how committed you are to one another. This is the true feeling of commitment, not a ring or ceremony or other external
sign. Commitment is another word for love and love doesn't need external signs. It just is and you can feel it when it's true and straight from the heart. Eliminate The Belief That Your Illness Is Genetic

By Nick Arrizza, M.D. Many illnesses, emotional and otherwise, are often said to be genetic in origin. When one is told that their particular problem is of a genetic nature it often leaves them feeling helpless since, to date, the idea of reversing something that is stored deep within one's structural DNA, which exists in every single cell of one's body, is considered an impossibility. So where is one left when one is given such a "genetic diagnosis". Well apart from feeling helpless one is also given the option to try to correct the symptoms of their problem, and only the symptoms, with some form of medication or other supplementation. This can come from allopathic or alternative medicine sources. The root cause, i.e. the genetic root, is still in place however and apparently can never be eliminated. Hence we have a situation where the treatment is essentially a palliative one. That is, it only tries to stem the symptoms but not eliminate the cause itself. Unfortunately, many individuals accept this as a solution to their problem because of the fundamental belief that the illness is genetic and therefore its complete elimination is accepted as impossibility. In an article entitled "All You Problems Are Based in False Beliefs" I make the point that any problem is essentially the result of deeply held false beliefs. One belief that causes a problem for an individual is the belief that their particular illness is of a genetic nature. Now this may sound strange to you perhaps. You might say, well that's just a fact, and I can't change it, so what does the belief have to do with it? Well as I hope to show you here it is the "belief" that your illness is genetic that is the problem. Now I'm not suggesting that you choose to believe that it isn't. That would just be going into denial. Denial is really a state of trying to lie to oneself about something that they already believe inside. The purpose of such denial would supposedly be about trying to stem the sadness about knowing that the illness is genetic and that nothing can be done about it. What I am suggesting however is a brief analysis of the belief itself. Let me show you what I mean: We choose to believe that a given illness is genetic so that, a) It will allow us to accept that there is little we can do about it other than try to manage it, so that, In accepting it we can feel better, more at peace, happier and so we can live a more contented life. Or that, b) It will relieve us of responsibility for having caused it, so that, We can feel we're not at fault so that, We can feel better, more at peace, happier and so we can live a more contented life. Or that, c) It will allow us to work hard at finding a way to find a cure, so that, We can find it, be cured and so that, We can feel better, more at peace, happier and so we can live a more contented life. Hence in all three scenarios above the conclusion appears to be that: d) Believing that our illness is genetic allows us to feel better, more at peace, happier and so we can live a more contented life. Now does statement d) above make sense to you? Probably not. However please notice whether you agreed with a), b) or c) above from which d) was derived in each case. So you see, if you believe any one of these and you don't believe d) you are faced with a paradox, aren't you? On the one hand you believe something and then in the next breath you say it's not true. So which is it? If you recognize that d) is not true for you then quietly acknowledge this to yourself and then notice how you feel. Now if you wish, say this statement to your self:
"My illness is genetic" and notice how it feels. Does it make you feel good inside. If not then please acknowledge this to yourself and again notice how you feel. You see this belief is actually "toxic" to you, isn't it. That is because it likely makes you feel helpless, hopeless and sad inside. Do you therefore want this kind of toxic belief living inside you? If you want to take this journey further you may wish to visit the web site below in my bio. Choosing the Right Surgeon for the Cosmetic Procedure You Want

By Peregrino Lorenzo As you ply along EDSA, you cant help but notice these adorable people with well chiseled bodies and youthful physique on billboards. Most of the time too, they have this youthful fresh look and just this perfect combination of different facial features. It usually results from combination of religious work out, healthy diet and a basically clean lifestyle. But some, if not most are unabashedly products of modern science or what is popularly known as cosmetic plastic surgery. Beauty or youthful look is something that we often desire and aspire for, thats why a lot of people or company offers products or procedures that enhances our physical appearance. Most Cosmetic Plastic Surgeons believe that improving our physical appearance, make us feel good about ourselves or enhance our emotional well being and social acceptance. For some lucky people they are physically born with it and have maintained it through the years. And for a significantly increasing part of the population, they have opted to undergo a cosmetic procedure, to say the least. Cosmetic Plastic Surgery has gone a long way locally and worldwide. Nowadays more and more people have thought of and accepted such procedures as Rhinoplasty (Nose Job), Blepharoplasty (Eyelid Surgery/Eye bag Removal), Rhytidectomy (Face Lift), Liposuction just to name a few. As simple and easy as it may seem (according to your Plastic Surgeons), there are very important things that one has to keep in mind before plunging into that pool of youth and beauty. Everybody wants to have that extra boost of self esteem and confidence and achieve that timeless beauty through the best possible post operative results with the least of complication. Plastic Surgeons are appropriately and completely termed Plastic Aesthetic and Reconstructive Surgeons, however they are now increasingly and popularly being called Plastic Cosmetic Surgeons. The surgeon can not call himself a plastic surgeon unless he can do both aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Since the very root of almost all cosmetic/aesthetic procedures can be traced from early reconstructive procedure. Thus a surgeon whose main interest is aesthetic plastic surgery, must also have a firm foundation on the reconstructive surgery, to better grasp the basic principle and application of cosmetic/aesthetic plastic surgery. Reconstructive plastic surgery is a prerequisite in training for all plastic surgeons. So plastic surgeons are both an aesthetic/cosmetic surgeon and reconstructive surgeon. At present, there are just a relatively limited number of certified Plastic Surgeon that one can go to. However, the so called run of the mill cosmetic surgeons without adequate formal training and experience abound and are alarmingly increasing. There are no short cuts to being one (Cosmetic Plastic Surgeon). It takes 6 to 8 years to transform a doctor after medical school into a Certified Plastic Surgeon (or 16 to 18 years to include Premed Course, Medicine Proper, Medical Internship, General Surgery Residency and Plastic Surgery Residency). It is through these years of formal training that Plastic Surgeons are able to acquire and equip themselves of the knowledge and skills that is required in his private practice. Such as knowing all possible options for a patient inquiring for a cosmetic procedure, being able to predict end result and being able to evaluate if patients are good candidate for the cosmetic procedure they want. And most importantly knowing the complications for any cosmetic and reconstructive procedure and being able to address if any complication arises. So, if you have concerns on your looks and planning to have aesthetic or cosmetic enhancement of any part of your body. Planning to have a cosmetic plastic procedure and choosing the right surgeon are the major decisions you have to make. Your Surgeon should aim to provide safe and guaranteed results in the procedure they would offer you. Tips on your decision-making. 1. Cosmetic Surgery should be done only according to the highest standards by the most competent surgeons. 2. Take time and effort in knowing your doctors academic profile and formal training in the field of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery. 3. Determine if your surgeon has organizational affiliation and privileges in Plastic Surgery.
4. Take note if the outpatient facility is well equipped. 5. Dont be encouraged to undergo the newest cosmetic product or procedure with out proven safety and result. 6. A good surgeon should be able to establish rapport with their patients, and is able to answer all your inquiries. And evaluate if all your questions or worries were answered adequately. Dr. E Magallona ( http://www.magallonaplasticsurgery.com ) adds that patients should not hesitate to ask anything and everything about their concerns. This is clearly not a good time to be shy. It may take several visits, if necessary, to fully understand what you are getting into but it would definitely be worth your time when you get the bigger and better picture of things. Also understand that you cannot just pick out from any magazine a physical feature that you like and have it copied. Prospective patients should be aware that cosmetic plastic surgery will enhance your natural beauty. A perfect result is never guaranteed. Patients and Surgeons are but humans, however in the hands of a certified plastic surgeon, one is better off and in the best position of having very good and satisfying result.
